2013 was a good year. Here’s what I did. I still can’t believe some of the things on this list:
My documentary short FLO was awarded best documentary short at the Ashland Independent Film Festival. It was also an official selection of Hot Docs Canadian Int’l Documentary Festival, Rooftop Films Summer Series, Palm Springs Int’l ShortFest, Camden Int’l Film Festival, Hamptons Int’l Film Festival, DC Shorts Film Festival, Starz Denver Int’l Film Festival, SF DocFest, Documentamadrid, Northside DIY Film Competition, Docuwest Film Festival, Tacoma Film Festival, Driftless Film Festival, and was also the runner up in the Hammer to Nail summer contest.
FLO was also adapted as a NY Times Op Doc: “Flo: Portrait of a Street Photographer.”
I was awarded a Rooftop Films Short Film Grant for my new documentary short “Elvis Loses His Excess & Other Tales From The World’s Longest Yard Sale,” which we shot in the summer. The short documentary is now picture-locked and set to be released next year!
